A biosensor based on hydrogels with good biocompatibility, antifreezing, and moisturizing properties was successfully synthesized in this study. The sensor could maintain conductivity under extreme conditions, and has potential bio-applications.
Conductive hydrogels have a significant prospect in the design of bioactuators, healthcare monitoring sensors, and flexible wearable devices. However, their poor temperature tolerance and biotoxicity limit their further applications. In this study, a biosensor based on hydrogels with good biocompatibility, antifreezing, and moisturizing properties was synthesized using a one freeze-thaw process. The sensor could withstand 60 degrees C for 400 min or -20 degrees C without freezing and maintain good conductivity. The excellent antibacterial activity and biocompatibility of the sensor ensure the safety of its biosecurity applications. Thus, the proposed biosensor has potential bio-applications as a bionic material under extreme conditions.
