Enhanced nonlinear absorption coefficient and low optical limiting threshold of NiO nanocomposite films

Yasemin Pepe et al.

Summary: NiO nanoparticles doped with Cr/Sb were synthesized by hydrothermal method and fabricated into nanocomposite films, showing cubic structure with crystallite size ranging from 10.3 nm to 17.3 nm. Nonlinear absorption characteristics revealed that nanocomposite films doped with Cr and Sb exhibited higher nonlinear absorption coefficients and lower optical limiting threshold values.

Characterization and biocompatibility evaluation of artificial blood vessels prepared from pristine poly (Ethylene-glycol-co-1,4-cyclohexane dimethylene-co-isosorbide terephthalate), poly (1, 4 cyclohexane di-methylene-co-isosorbide terephthalate) nanofibers and their blended composition

Sofia El-Ghazali et al.

Summary: In this study, three-dimensional artificial blood vessels (ABV) were successfully prepared using electrospun PEICT, PICT, and BLEND nanofibers. BLEND exhibited superior wettability and morphology compared to PICT and PEICT, making it suitable for cell culture applications without the need for special surface treatment. The unique features of BLEND include maximum biodegradation rate and tunable tensile strength, showing promising potential for vascular regeneration and cell culture.

Thermally Induced Phase Transition and Defect-Assisted Nonlinear Absorption and Optical Limiting in Nanorod Morphology V2O5 Thin Films

Yasemin Pepe et al.

Summary: This study systematically examined the influence of thermal treatment on the microstructure of V2O5 thin films and its impact on optical properties and phase transition behaviors. The findings show that annealing at 450 degrees Celsius enhances the nonlinear absorption and optical limiting behavior of V2O5 thin films, while higher annealing temperatures result in a decrease in these behaviors.
