In-situ generated Ni-MOF/LDH heterostructures with abundant phase interfaces for enhanced oxygen evolution reaction

Summary: By engineering the abundant phase interface in hybrid materials, Ni-MOF/Ox-MOF is constructed and transformed into Ni-MOF/LDH heterostructures with excellent water oxidation activity. In-situ Raman technique identifies Ni centers as true active sites during water oxidation, while DFT calculations demonstrate enhanced charge transfer and conductivity at the Ni-MOF/LDH interfaces. This work provides an efficient method for fabricating MOF/LDH heterostructures with optimized phase interfaces and offers new insights into OER.

Characterization of BiOBr/g-C3N4 heterostructures immobilized on flexible electrospun polyacrylonitrile nanofibers for photocatalytic applications

Summary: Efforts have been made to improve the photocatalytic activity of g-C3N4 with BiOBr, resulting in the development of flexible heterojunction membranes. By altering the precursor concentration, the coverage density and morphology of BiOBr on the surface of the nanofibers can be tailored. The composite nanofibers exhibited enhanced photocatalytic activity for tetracycline hydrochloride degradation, with the 3-BiOBr/g-C3N4/PAN NFs showing the highest efficiency and quick recovery due to their self-supporting membrane structure.

Monolayer Bi2W1-xMoxO6 Solid Solutions for Structural Polarity to Boost Photocatalytic Reduction of Nitrobenzene under Visible Light

Summary: Mono-layer nanosheets of Bi2W1-xMoxO6 solid solutions were designed and constructed by a simple hydrothermal reaction, exhibiting high photocatalytic efficiency for reducing nitrobenzene into anilines under visible light. The optimal Bi2W0.25Mo0.75O6 monolayer nanosheets showed high selectivity and stability, with a generating rate of 650 mu mol g -L h(-1) for aniline, surpassing ordinary photocatalysts. The lattice distortion in solid solutions due to W substitution led to efficient separation of photogenerated carriers, offering a novel insight for devising high-efficiency property-controllable photocatalysts at the atomic level.

Efficient photocatalytic degradation of tetracycline under visible light by Z-scheme Ag3PO4/mixed-valence MIL-88A(Fe) heterojunctions: Mechanism insight, degradation pathways and DFT calculation

The FeII/FeIII ratio adjustment of mixed-valence MIL-88A(Fe) further increased the photocatalytic activity, benefiting from the efficiency of the in-situ-generated photo-Fenton process.

Influence of the calcination of TiO2-reduced graphite hybrid for the photocatalytic reduction of carbon dioxide
