Solution-processed CuI films towards flexible visible-photodetectors: Role of annealing temperature on Cu/I ratio and photodetective properties

Mokurala Krishnaiah et al.

Summary: This study investigates the physical and electrical properties of CuI films on Si substrates with different annealing temperatures. Results show that annealing temperature significantly affects the chemical compositional ratio and photodetection properties of CuI films. CuI films annealed at 175 degrees C for 30 min exhibit the highest photodetection properties, while those annealed at 200 degrees C for 30 min have higher photocurrent recovery and lower drift current.

Dual-color upconversion photoluminescence induced by disordered Yb3+-Ti4+ pairs and defects in highly stable langbeinite-type Rb2Ti0.80Yb1.20(PO4)3 single crystal

Ziqing Li et al.

Summary: This study successfully synthesized a heavily Yb3+ doped langbeinite-type Rb2Ti0.80Yb1.20(PO4)(3) (RTYP) single crystal, demonstrating efficient dual-color upconversion luminescence under 980 nm excitation. The X-ray structural analyses revealed the high thermal stability of the crystal and the dual-color emission mechanism mainly related to Yb3+ ions and crystal defects.

High-performance, self-powered UV photodetector based on Au nanoparticles decorated ZnO/CuI heterostructure

Fa Cao et al.

Summary: Self-powered ultraviolet photodetectors based on ZnO/CuI/Au heterojunction exhibit outstanding performance with ultra-high on/off ratio, fast rise/decay times, high responsivity, and detectivity, as well as long-term cyclic and environmental stability. The synergetic effects of plasmonic Au nanoparticles and ZnO/CuI pn heterostructure play crucial roles in enhancing the photodetection capability, showing great potential for practical applications in self-powered UV PDs.

Tuning intrinsic defects in γ-CuI by cation and anion doping

Shutong Hao et al.

Summary: Gamma-CuI is a promising scintillator with ultrafast decay time contributed by near-band-edge emission, and its luminescence properties are directly related to intrinsic defects. By doping with cations and anions, such as Li, Na, Mg, F, Cl, and Br, the intrinsic defects can be tuned to enhance the scintillation performance. Experimental results demonstrated the effectiveness of this approach in creating and eliminating vacancies to improve the luminescence properties of gamma-CuI.
