Gas-sensing performance of In2O3@MoO3 hollow core-shell nanospheres prepared by a two-step hydrothermal method

Haitao Fu et al.

Summary: The study synthesized In2O3@MoO3 core-shell hollow spheres through a facile method, revealing that the core-shell structure with an In to Mo molar ratio of 1:1 showed the highest sensing response at the same working temperature. This response was significantly higher compared to pristine In2O3 hollow spheres and binary mixtures.

Nanosheet-assembled In2O3 for sensitive and selective ozone detection at low temperature

Ning Sui et al.

Summary: A series of nanosheet-assembled In2O3 materials with different chemisorbed oxygen components were successfully prepared, showing enhanced response by adjusting the amount of chemisorbed oxygen. As an efficient O-3 detector, the sensor exhibited outstanding response to low concentrations of O-3 and a low LOD at a relatively low operating temperature. The O-3 sensing behaviors were interfered by background oxygen, suggesting competitive adsorption between O-3 and O-2 molecules.

Highly efficient toluene gas sensor based on spinel structured hollow urchin-like core-shell ZnFe2O4 spheres

Hao Zhang et al.

Summary: A facile solvothermal method was employed to synthesize hollow urchin-like core-shell spinel structured ZnO/ZnFe2O4 composite and pure ZnFe2O4 sensing material. Different ratios of Zn to Fe in the precursor resulted in different final components of the products. Gas sensors based on these materials exhibited high gas response to toluene, with the pure ZnFe2O4 sensor showing a lower operating temperature and higher gas response. The sensing mechanism was analyzed in detail in combination with BET and XPS results.
