Proteomic Analysis Reveals the Importance of Exudates on Sclerotial Development in Sclerotinia sclerotiorum

Jiamei Tian et al.

Summary: Through a proteome-level investigation of proteins in sclerotial exudates of S. sclerotiorum, this study found that these proteins contribute to the development of sclerotia and facilitate host cell necrosis caused by S. sclerotiorum, while also providing nutrition for the fungus.

Design, Synthesis, and Antifungal Evaluation of Cryptolepine Derivatives against Phytopathogenic Fungi

Yong-Jia Chen et al.

Summary: Cryptolepine and its derivatives were designed, synthesized, and evaluated for their antifungal activities against four agriculturally important fungi. Compound a3 showed significantly prominent inhibitory activity against B. cinerea, while compound f1 exhibited better activity against R. solani and F. graminearum. In addition, in vivo curative experiment found that the therapeutic action of a3 was comparable to that of the positive control azoxystrobin.

Synthesis of Myrtenal-Based Nanocellulose/Diacylhydrazine Complexes with Antifungal Activity for Plant Protection

Baoyu Li et al.

Summary: Novel myrtenal-based diacylhydrazines were designed, synthesized, and characterized for their antifungal activity, with 2-picolinyl hydrazide showing comparable efficacy to commercial fungicides. Myrtenal-based nanocellulose was developed as a carrier for nanopesticides, demonstrating excellent drug-loading capacities and sustained releasing properties. Solvents used in the esterification reaction were found to impact the micromorphology of carriers, influencing drug loading and release.
