Summary: This study shows that unfavorable sleep quality trajectories are common among head and neck cancer patients from pre-treatment to 6 months after treatment. Factors associated with persistent poor sleep include being female, prior use of painkillers, and higher levels of anxiety symptoms before treatment. Regular sleep evaluations are important to identify and address ongoing sleep issues in this patient population, especially in high-risk individuals.
