LES study of windward-face-mounted-ribs' effects on flow fields and aerodynamic forces on a square cylinder

Summary: This study investigated the effects of windward-face-mounted ribs on aerodynamic forces acting on a square cylinder under smooth flow through large eddy simulations. The optimal combinations of rib depth and location were found to significantly reduce wind loads on the cylinder.
