Study of Arrhenius activation energy on the thermo-bioconvection nanofluid flow over a Riga plate

M. M. Bhatti et al.

Summary: This article investigates the effects of Arrhenius activation energy and viscous dissipation on thermo-bioconvection nanofluid propagating through a Riga plate. Through numerical analysis, it is found that the magnetic field and bioconvection parameters weaken the velocity profile, while an increase in activation energy enhances the concentration profile. However, an increase in the Prandtl number suppresses the temperature profile changes.

Mixed convection stagnation point flow of a hybrid nanofluid past a vertical flat plate with a second order velocity model

Alin V. Rosca et al.

Summary: This study describes the steady mixed convection stagnation point of a hybrid nanofluid with a second-order velocity slip, using numerical methods to explore dual solutions. The research findings have practical implications for applications in modern industry, such as micro-manufacturing and nano drug delivery systems. The use of a wall slip velocity in the hybrid nanofluid model adds novelty to the study by analyzing the behavior of flow and heat transfer with varying parameters.

Agrawal flow of a hybrid nanofluid over a shrinking disk

Iskandar Waini et al.

Summary: The study investigates the impact of hybrid nanoparticles on flow and heat transfer over a stretching/shrinking disk. It reveals that dual solutions are possible for both shrinking and stretching cases, while a unique solution exists for the static surface. Moreover, the skin friction coefficient is optimal on the static surface, and heat transfer rate increases with the addition of hybrid nanoparticles.

Cross flow and heat transfer past a permeable stretching/shrinking sheet in a hybrid nanofluid

Natalia C. Rosca et al.

Summary: The purpose of this paper is to investigate laminar boundary layer cross flow and heat transfer on a rotational stagnation-point flow over a porous wall submerged in hybrid nanofluids. It was found that the basic similarity equations admit dual solutions for stretching/shrinking surfaces, with the upper branch solution being physically realizable while the lower branch solution is not. The authors believe that the numerical results presented in this paper are new and original.

MHD mixed convection of Al2O3-Cu-water hybrid nanofluid in a wavy channel with incorporated fixed cylinder

Shafqat Hussain et al.

Summary: This study conducted numerical simulations on the mixed convection of Al2O3-Cu-water hybrid nanofluid in a wavy channel, finding that Reynolds number is a key factor influencing fluid behavior. The highest average Nusselt number was achieved at A = 0.05, promoting heat transfer by roughly 200%.

Axisymmetric flow of hybrid nanofluid due to a permeable non-linearly stretching/shrinking sheet with radiation effect

Natalia C. Rosca et al.

Summary: This paper reports theoretical and numerical results for the laminar axisymmetric flow of hybrid nanofluid over a permeable non-linearly stretching/shrinking sheet with radiation effect. Numerical solutions were obtained using MATLAB, revealing two branches of solutions for the ordinary differential equations within a certain range of parameters. Stability analysis was performed to determine the stable solutions.

Ali Akbar Abbasian Arani et al.

Summary: This study investigates the stagnation-point flow of hybrid Ag-CuO/water nanofluids over a stretching/shrinking sheet. Through numerical and stability analysis, it is found that there are dual solutions to the problem, which are connected to the shrinking rate. The friction factor and Nusselt number of the nanofluids show significant variations with the suction/injection parameter.

Summary: The study investigates the mathematical modeling of unsteady flow of micropolar Cu-Al2O3/water nanofluid driven by a deformable sheet in the stagnation region with thermal radiation effect. By employing numerical methods, the system of non-linear ordinary differential equations is obtained, and the influences of relevant parameters on fluid flow and heat transfer characteristics are discussed. Addition of nanometer-sized particle (Cu) has been found to significantly enhance the heat transfer rate of the micropolar nanofluid.

Unsteady MHD Mixed Convection Flow in Hybrid Nanofluid at Three-Dimensional Stagnation Point

Nurul Amira Zainal et al.

Summary: This study conducted a numerical analysis on the unsteady magnetohydrodynamic mixed convection at a three-dimensional stagnation point flow, revealing that the enhancement of suction/injection and magnetic parameters exaggerates heat transfer rate and skin friction coefficient, while the increase in volume fraction of nanoparticles and decrease in unsteadiness parameter lead to a decrease in performance.

Unsteady EMHD stagnation point flow over a stretching/shrinking sheet in a hybrid Al2O3-Cu/H2O nanofluid

Nurul Amira Zainal et al.

Summary: This study analyzed the unsteady electro-magnetohydrodynamic stagnation point flow in a hybrid nanofluid on a stretching/shrinking sheet, and found that the inclusion of nanoparticles increases the skin friction coefficient and local Nusselt number. The coordination of the electric and magnetic fields delays the progression of the fluid, while the unsteadiness parameter has a decreasing impact on heat transfer performance.

Mixed convective stagnation point flow of a hybrid nanofluid toward a vertical cylinder

Najiyah Safwa Khashi'ie et al.

Summary: This paper numerically analyzes the stagnation point flow of Cu-Al2O3/water hybrid nanofluid with mixed convection past a flat plate and circular cylinder. The study finds that an increase in the curvature parameter tends to extend the critical value and improve heat transfer performance. The application of hybrid Cu-Al2O3/water nanofluid can decelerate the separation of laminar boundary layer flow and generate higher heat transfer rates compared to Cu-water nanofluid and pure water.

Summary: The time-dependent stagnation point flow and heat transfer of a water-based hybrid nanofluid from a radially permeable shrinking or stretching surface are investigated. Numerical results indicate the existence of dual solutions, with only one being stable, and the hybrid nanofluid enhances heat transfer rate compared to a regular fluid.
