The use of Net Promoter Score (NPS) to predict sales growth: insights from an empirical investigation

Sven Baehre et al.

Summary: Net Promoter Score (NPS) is widely adopted by managers as a measure of customer mindset and predictor of sales growth, but academics remain skeptical due to methodological issues. This study confirms the validity of the original premise of NPS but highlights the effectiveness of the more recent brand health measure in predicting future sales growth.

Exploring the Conformational Changes Induced by Nanosecond Pulsed Electric Fields on the Voltage Sensing Domain of a Ca2+ Channel

Alvaro R. Ruiz-Fernandez et al.

Summary: Nanosecond Pulsed Electric Field (nsPEF) can induce ion channel gating within a very short period of time, leading to the formation of nanopores. The composition of the cell membrane, specifically cholesterol content, may play a crucial role in the response of ion channels to external electric fields. Additionally, the application of nsPEF can cause major conformational changes in the Voltage Sensing Domain (VSD) of voltage-gated Ca2+ channels, potentially leading to pore formation across the VSD, a novel effect named protein mediated electroporation.
