Efficient extraction of trace organochlorine pesticides from environmental samples by a polyacrylonitrile electrospun nanofiber membrane modified with covalent organic framework

Jiachen Ma et al.

Summary: This study successfully enriched trace organochlorine pesticides in water using a novel functional electrospun nanofiber membrane PAN@COFs, demonstrating stable performance and high reusability. The experiment results showed outstanding adsorption performance of PAN@COFs on OCPs, with high enrichment factors and recovery rates in real water samples, confirming the feasibility of detecting trace OCPs. The synergy of pi-pi stacking interaction and hydrophobic interaction between OCPs molecules and PAN@COFs enabled efficient adsorption even under low driving force.
