Determination of the transcriptional level of long non-coding RNA NEAT-1, downstream target microRNAs, and genes targeted by microRNAs in diabetic neuropathy patients

Gelayol Asadi et al.

Summary: The study observed that in DN patients, there is a significant increase in the expression of lncRNA NEAT-1 and a decrease in miR-183-5p expression, while miR-433-3p expression decreases and ITGA4, SESN1, and SESN3 mRNA expression increases. The dysregulated expression of NEAT-1 and related miRNAs and genes may play a role in the development of DN.
