Fuzzy-Model-Based Control for Singularly Perturbed Systems With Nonhomogeneous Markov Switching: A Dropout Compensation Strategy

Jun Cheng et al.

Summary: This article addresses the issue of asynchronous control for singularly perturbed systems with nonhomogeneous Markov switching. By using T-S fuzzy models and dropout compensation strategy, novel conditions for H-infinity performance are proposed and the fuzzy-based asynchronous controller gains are realized.

Parsimonious Bayesian Filtering in Markov Jump Systems With Applications to Networked Control

Alexandre Rodrigues Mesquita

Summary: This study explores the issue of controlling the precision of the multiple-model multiple-hypothesis filter with Gaussian mixture reduction. The research demonstrates that the controller can adaptively choose the number of hypotheses to achieve a tradeoff between filter precision and computational effort. Experimental results indicate a good performance improvement when dealing with the problem of estimating the states of a networked control system with packet drops.

Sliding Mode Control of Markovian Jump Fuzzy Systems: A Dynamic Event-Triggered Method

Zhiru Cao et al.

Summary: In this article, the sliding mode control problem for a class of Markovian jump systems is addressed using the T-S fuzzy model. A dynamic event-triggered strategy is introduced to reduce the frequency of state transmission and a mode detector is utilized to estimate the unavailable system mode. The proposed detected-mode-dependent event-triggered sliding mode controller relaxes the conditions on reachability and stability conditions by constructing a relation on the membership functions between the fuzzy model and the controllers.

Asynchronous Event-Triggered Control for Networked Interval Type-2 Fuzzy Systems Against DoS Attacks

Xiehuan Li et al.

Summary: This article investigates the asynchronous adaptive event-triggered control problem for networked interval type-2 fuzzy systems subject to nonperiodic denial-of-service attacks. Two resilient adaptive event-triggered mechanisms are applied independently to sensor and controller output, adapting threshold values based on error information. The study models a new switched IT2 fuzzy dynamical output feedback system, considering the influence of the mechanisms and nonperiodic DoS attacks, and relaxes stability conditions with a slack matrix. By utilizing the piecewise Lyapunov-Krasovskii function method, sufficient conditions for global stability with H-infinity performance are derived and illustrated through examples.

Affine Transformed IT2 Fuzzy Event-Triggered Control Under Deception Attacks

Seungyong Han et al.

Summary: This article investigates the stabilization of type-2 fuzzy systems in the presence of cyber attacks. By utilizing affine membership functions and a robust adaptive event-triggered control, a more reliable and less conservative stability analysis scheme is proposed, which is validated through numerical simulations on mass-spring-damper systems and tracking control systems to demonstrate robustness and effectiveness.

Distributed Secure Platoon Control of Connected Vehicles Subject to DoS Attack: Theory and Application

Dan Zhang et al.

Summary: This article investigates the impact of denial-of-service attacks on distributed secure platoon control in sampling time instants, and proposes a solution based on a time-delay system model, obtaining sufficient conditions for exponential tracking performance using Lyapunov stability theory. The design conditions establish quantitative relationships between attack parameters and system performance, and critical values for attack frequency and sampling interval are derived. Simulation and experiment studies on a network of four vehicles are introduced to validate the design.

Event-Based Impulsive Control of IT2 T-S Fuzzy Interconnected System Under Deception Attacks

Nannan Rong et al.

Summary: This article investigates the impulsive control issue of the interval type-2 Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy interconnected system using a dynamic event-triggered mechanism to defend against deception attacks. A new event-based impulsive control strategy, incorporating a state feedback control part with time-varying gains, is designed to connect two consecutive impulse injections. The nonexistence of Zeno behaviors is indirectly guaranteed through comparison relationships and the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy is validated through illustrative examples.
