Quantitative analysis of choroidal blood flow parameters in optical coherence tomography and angiography in central serous chorioretinopathy

Summary: The study analyzed swept-source optical coherence angiography images at different depths above and below the default location of the Zeiss PLEX Elite 9000 in normal eyes of subjects in their 20s and 30s. The results showed that the compensation technique altered the appearance of flow deficits, and the projection removal function modified grayscale values and diminished projection from overlaying retinal vessels. The study suggests that projection from the choriocapillaris is important in image formation, although layers of vessels in the inner choroid may also contribute to the images.
