The 2016 landslide at Saint-Luc-de-Vincennes, Quebec: geotechnical and morphological analysis of a combined flowslide and spread

Frederique Tremblay-Auger et al.

Summary: On November 9, 2016, a landslide occurred in Quebec, Canada, with unique characteristics of starting as a flowslide and finishing as a spread. Geotechnical investigation included LiDAR surveys, drone photography, boreholes, cone penetration tests, vane tests, and piezometric monitoring to understand the landslide and determine failure surface location. An analysis of debris and volume calculations reconstructed the different phases of flowing and spreading, providing insights into the landslide process.
