Air pollution effects on adult mortality rate in developing countries

Nor Asma Ahmad et al.

Summary: The study shows that air pollution negatively impacts adult mortality rates in developing countries, while an increase in governance quality can mitigate this effect. A 10% increase in PM2.5 levels leads to a 0.04% to 0.06% increase in adult mortality rates, and a one-unit improvement in governance quality index reduces adult mortality rates by 0.01% in developing countries.

PUBLIC HEALTH PERSPECTIVE OF THE IMPACT OF INDUSTRIAL POLLUTION ON GLOBAL WARMING AND THE INCIDENCE OF ZOONOSES

Toni Buterin et al.

Summary: The increasing incidence of zoonoses may be associated with climate change, and preventive measures are necessary to address this issue. Research on zoonoses triggered by global warming in Croatia has not been widely recognized, but it is important to take it seriously. Neglecting the potential impact of climate change on zoonotic diseases could lead to public health and global environmental-ethical problems.

Health impacts of air pollution exposure from 1990 to 2019 in 43 European countries

Alen Juginovic et al.

Summary: Air pollution is the fourth greatest overall risk factor for human health, posing a major health and economic burden. Over the past three decades, air pollution levels, related morbidity, and mortality have considerably decreased in Europe. However, with the increasing European population, air pollution remains an important public health and economic issue. Policies targeting air pollution reduction should continue to be strongly enforced to further reduce one of the greatest risk factors for human health.
