Lipase Immobilization on Macroporous ZIF-8 for Enhanced Enzymatic Biodiesel Production

Summary: The immobilization of Aspergillus niger lipase on macroporous zeolitic imidazolate frameworks (M-ZIF-8) showed higher enzymatic activity, thermal stability, and reusability compared to conventional ZIF-8. Moreover, using ANL@M-ZIF-8 for biodiesel production led to a higher fatty acid methyl ester yield.
