Air-assisted liquid-liquid microextraction based on the solidification of floating deep eutectic solvents for the simultaneous determination of bisphenols and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in tea infusions via HPLC

Kaige Zhang et al.

Summary: In this study, three hydrophobic DESs were designed and synthesized with low viscosity, low density, and melting points close to room temperature, and applied in an air-assisted liquid-liquid microextraction technique for the simultaneous determination of bisphenols and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. The method showed satisfactory linearity, low detection limits, and good precision, with promising applications in food safety.

Development of a Green Alternative Vortex-Assisted Dispersive Liquid-Liquid Microextraction Based on Natural Hydrophobic Deep Eutectic Solvents for the Analysis of Phthalate Esters in Soft Drinks

Alvaro Santana-Mayor et al.

Summary: A green alternative method using a natural hydrophobic deep eutectic solvent was developed for the extraction of phthalic acid esters and an adipate in cold infusions and tonic waters. The method was validated and applied for the first time using this solvent, demonstrating successful extraction and analysis of the compounds in cold infusions and tonic waters.

Quality assessment of environmental water by a simple and fast non-ionic hydrophobic natural deep eutectic solvent-based extraction procedure combined with liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry for the determination of plastic migrants

Alvaro Santana-Mayor et al.

Summary: A non-ionic hydrophobic natural deep eutectic solvent (HNADES) based on thymol and menthol was successfully utilized for liquid-liquid microextraction of various phthalates in environmental water samples, demonstrating high accuracy and stability. The optimal extraction conditions were determined through experiments, and the method was validated for its effectiveness in detecting target compounds accurately.
