Functional crosstalk between myeloid Foxo1-β-catenin axis and Hedgehog/Gli1 signaling in oxidative stress response

Changyong Li et al.

Summary: The study demonstrates that myeloid-specific Foxo1 knockout mice are resistant to oxidative stress-induced liver injury by enhancing beta-catenin-mediated Gli1/Snail signaling, reducing inflammation, and inhibiting necroptosis. The colocalization of Foxo1 and beta-catenin in macrophages leads to the activation of Gli1/Snail signaling and suppression of RIPK3 and NEK7/NLRP3 expression under inflammatory conditions. Disruption of this axis exacerbates liver damage, leading to increased necroptosis and inflammatory response.

Protective role of serpina3c as a novel thrombin inhibitor against atherosclerosis in mice

Ling-lin Qian et al.

Summary: The study revealed that serpina3c may act as a novel thrombin inhibitor, negatively regulating VSMC proliferation by inhibiting thrombin activity, possibly through serpina3c inhibition of ERK1/2 and JNK signaling.

Probiotics-rich emulsion improves insulin signalling in Palmitate/Oleate-challenged human hepatocarcinoma cells through the modulation of Fetuin-A/TLR4-JNK-NF-κB pathway

Malwina Mularczyk et al.

Summary: The study demonstrates that probiotics can improve the viability of hepatocarcinoma cells induced by insulin resistance and reduce cell apoptosis caused by free fatty acid accumulation. Probiotics in emulsion form are effective in reducing oxidative stress, improving mitochondrial metabolism and dynamics, and inhibiting inflammation related to the Fetuin-A/TLR4/JNK/NF-kappa B pathway.
