Intercalation-Activated Layered MoO3 Nanobelts as Biodegradable Nanozymes for Tumor-Specific Photo-Enhanced Catalytic Therapy

Summary: This study reports a biodegradable nanozyme based on layered MoO3 nanobelts for tumor-specific photo-enhanced catalytic therapy. The NH-MoO3-x nanobelts, obtained by intercalation with Na+ and H2O, exhibit excellent enzyme-mimicking catalytic activity and can be further enhanced by photothermal effect under 1064 nm laser irradiation, resulting in efficient killing of cancer cells and tumor elimination.

Summary: In this study, Cu/C composites were prepared by calcining synthesized metal-organic nanocapsules precursors and their photocatalytic performance was evaluated for methyl violet degradation. The influence of calcination temperature and time on catalytic activity was investigated, and the Cu@C-100 0-4 composites showed the highest photodegradation performance. The possible mechanism for the degradation of MV dye by Cu/C-100 0-4 composite was analyzed using LC-MS methodology.

The core-shell-structured nanoparticles consisted of ZIF-8 as the shell and DSF-NP as the core, showing high stability under neutral conditions and efficient inhibition of tumor growth by inducing cell apoptosis both in vitro and in vivo.

Single crystal X-ray analysis revealed the structure of TMU-13 and calcination of TMU-13 at 500 degrees C under air atmosphere yielded ZnO compound.
