One-Pot Synthesis of High-Melt-Strength Isotactic Polypropylene Ionomers

Carlos R. Lopez-Barron et al.

Summary: A novel one-pot synthetic route has been developed to produce high melt strength isotactic polypropylene ionomers, improving the processability of the polymers. These ionomers exhibit high activity and isospecificity.

Al-alkenyl-induced formation of long-chain branched polyethylene via coordinative tandem insertion and chain-transfer polymerization using (nBuCp)2ZrCl2/MAO systems: An experimental and theoretical study

Orlando Santoro et al.

Summary: The study identified iBuAl(oct-7-en-1-yl)(2) (Al-1) as a promising long-chain branching (LCB) promoter and demonstrated its ability to form branching structures in combination with different catalyst systems. Qualitative rheological data showed that Al-1 in conjunction with the zirconocene catalyst system can achieve LCB formation comparable to PEs synthesized under similar conditions with the EBTHI/MAO/Al-1 system.
