All-Trans Retinoic Acid Rescues the Tumor Suppressive Role of RAR-β by Inhibiting LncHOXA10 Expression in Gastric Tumorigenesis

Chen Wang et al.

Summary: Numerous long noncoding RNAs, including LncHOXA10, have been shown to be involved in cancer development, particularly in gastric cancer. LncHOXA10 was found to promote cell proliferation, migration, and invasion while inhibiting apoptosis by repressing RAR-beta expression. All-trans retinoic acid was able to rescue RAR-beta expression and reverse the pro-cancerous function of LncHOXA10, suggesting a potential therapeutic target for gastric cancer.

Loss of Optineurin Drives Cancer Immune Evasion via Palmitoylation-Dependent IFNGR1 Lysosomal Sorting and Degradation

Wan Du et al.

Summary: Mutations in IFN and MHC signaling genes contribute to immunotherapy resistance, particularly in colorectal cancer. Loss of optineurin impairs the integrity of both IFN and MHC-I signaling pathways, leading to immune evasion and intrinsic immunotherapy resistance in colorectal cancer. Pharmacologically targeting IFNGR1 palmitoylation shows promise in enhancing tumor immunity and sensitizing checkpoint therapy in colorectal cancer.

Paraspeckle Promotes Hepatocellular Carcinoma Immune Escape by Sequestering IFNGR1 mRNA

Jie Zan et al.

Summary: Paraspeckles in HCC cells help tumor cells evade immunosurveillance by sequestering IFNGR1 mRNA to inhibit IFN-gamma-IFNGR1 signaling, thus avoiding T-cell killing effects. High expression of NEAT1_2 in HCC patients may lead to resistance to T-cell therapy in the clinic, suggesting NEAT1_2 as a potential target for HCC immunotherapy.
