Neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio as a prognostic marker for head and neck cancer with lung metastasis: a retrospective study

Summary: This study quantified the prognostic impact of the neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) on HNSCC patients with lung metastasis. The results showed that a higher NLR was associated with shorter overall survival in the subgroup without lung metastasis, but not in the subgroup with lung metastasis. However, an elevated NLR was found to be a prognostic factor of poor lung metastasis-free survival in both subgroups.
