Summary: This study explores the facilitators of and barriers to successful convergence between the human, animal, and environmental health sectors in India to address zoonotic diseases. Building a roadmap for inclusive disaster risk reduction in Australian communities

Michelle Villeneuve

Summary: Australia has made progress in developing Disability Inclusive Disaster Risk Reduction (DIDRR) at the local community level through cross-sector collaboration and grassroots innovation. The research encompassed inclusive community engagement, capacity development, and defining roles and responsibilities for people with disabilities and their support services, as well as building cross-sector mechanisms for sharing responsibility. Co-designed products are being used to scale DIDRR practices across Australian communities, especially in managing the 2019-20 Black Summer bushfires and the COVID-19 pandemic.
