Biotreatment and bacterial succession in an upflow immobilized cell bioreactor fed with fludioxonil wastewater

Zografina Mavriou et al.

Summary: The study demonstrated that an upflow immobilized cell bioreactor effectively removed COD and organic matter from fludioxonil-contaminated wastewater, with a significant reduction in TKN concentration. The bacterial community underwent changes during the treatment process, leading to a significant increase in the relative abundance of certain bacteria.

An overview on the elimination of organic contaminants from aqueous systems using electrochemical advanced oxidation processes

Fatima Ezzahra Titchou et al.

Summary: Hazardous organic pollutants have attracted heightened interest due to their persisting properties, low biodegradability, and negative influence on aquatic life, wildlife, and humans. Electrochemical advanced oxidation processes (EAOPs) have shown promise in removing these pollutants from water, with PEF > EF > AO in terms of efficiency.
