Numerical Simulation of the Stability of Rock Mass around Large Underground Cavern

Dang Van Kien et al.

Summary: Geotechnical problems in tunnel analysis are complex due to the non-uniformities and various properties of materials. Despite the difficulty in considering all factors, tunnel analysis has made significant progress in recent years with the development of numerical analysis methods and computer technology. This study focuses on the stability analysis of rock mass surrounding underground caverns using the 2D FEM RS2 program. The results provide insights into the deformation pattern, stress state, and plastic areas distribution, contributing to the evaluation and design of subsequent support measures.

Optimization of three-dimensional multi-level surface deformation in mining areas through integration of deformation fusion model and Lagrange multiplier method based on single high resolution OTD-InSAR pair

Lele Zhang et al.

Summary: Underground longwall mining activities can cause serious natural hazards by inducing three-dimensional surface deformations. A novel methodology called MAOTD-InSAR has been proposed to estimate and optimize these deformations, showing higher accuracy and reliability in resolving 3-D multi-level surface deformations.

A Growth Performance and Nonlinear Growth Curve Functions of Large- and Normal-Sized Japanese Quail (Coturnix japonica)

Mohammad Haqani et al.

Summary: This study compared the growth patterns of large- and normal-sized Japanese quail strains and their F-1 progeny, finding that the Richards and Gompertz models best described their growth characteristics. Additionally, it was observed that the growth pattern of the F-1 birds may have been inherited from the male parental strain.
