Mobility devices for children with physical disabilities: use, satisfaction and impact on participation

Summary: This study explores methods used in peer-reviewed literature for obtaining self-expression of well-being information from children with severe motor and communication impairment (SMCI). The study finds that most studies use high-tech methods of self-expression and familiar partners play a significant role in self-expression. Self-expression to both adults and peers can positively influence the well-being of caregivers and children.
