We discuss the technique of expansion by regions and its implementation within pySecDec, a toolbox for evaluating dimensionally regulated parameter integrals. The program offers an automated way to perform asymptotic expansions and provides a new mechanism for efficiently evaluating amplitudes and individual integrals.
