In-situ Growing Carbon Nanotubes on Nickel Modified Glass Fiber Reinforced Epoxy Composites for EMI Application

Yu Liu et al.

Summary: This study focuses on preparing epoxy composites with excellent electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding performance by coating glass fiber (GF) with a thin layer of nickel followed by grafting carbon nanotubes (CNTs) array. The results show that incorporating nickel-coated GF with CVD grown CNTs can achieve the best EMI shielding effectiveness among the composites, with a lower CNT content compared to GF without nickel coating.
