Efficient electromagnetic interference shielding of flexible Ag microfiber sponge/polydimethylsiloxane composite constructed by blow spinning

Summary: In this paper, a high-conductivity and low-density three-dimensional silver microfiber sponge (AgMS) was constructed using the blow spinning method, and an AgMS/polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) composite with extremely high EMI shielding effectiveness (EMI SE) and superb flexibility was manufactured by backfilling PDMS into the AgMS. The AgMS/PDMS composite demonstrated outstanding mechanical reliability, retained high EMI SE even under various deformation conditions, and showed potential for EMI shielding gaskets in commercial, medical, and aerospace applications.
