Field self-interactions can reduce or alleviate the dependency on dark matter and dark energy in describing the cosmic microwave background (CMB) power spectrum.
Field self-interactions are at the origin of the non-linearities inherent to General Relativity. We study their effects on the cosmic microwave background (CMB) anisotropies. We find that they can reduce or alleviate the need for dark matter and dark energy in the description of the CMB power spectrum.
