Exploring the fusion hindrance phenomenon: the case of 32,34S+89Y

R. Gharaei et al.

Summary: The sub-barrier fusion data of S-32, S-34 + Y-89 colliding systems were analyzed using coupled-channels calculations, showing significant effects of surface energy coefficient and thermal properties on the nuclear potential and fusion cross sections, with observed fusion hindrance phenomenon.

Influence of entrance channel on multinucleon transfer cross sections

Zhi Cheng et al.

Summary: The study shows that the Ni-64+Pb-208 reaction is more favorable for producing neutron-rich nuclei compared to other reactions. The difference in injection point positions significantly influences the transfer of protons and neutrons in multinucleon transfer reactions. The impact of entrance channels on transfer cross sections was predicted and analyzed through various combinations of reactions.

Formation of heavy neutron-rich nuclei by Ca-48-induced multinucleon transfer reactions

Zhi Cheng et al.

Summary: The improved dinuclear system model is effective in describing the isotopic distributions of the Ca-48 + U-238 reaction, while only partially successful in the Ca-48 + Cm-248 reaction. Experimental and theoretical data from multinucleon transfer reactions suggest that the isotopic distributions of the Ca-48 + U-238 reaction system are shifted towards the neutron-rich side above Pb compared to the Xe-136 + Pb-208 reaction, except for the isotopic distribution of Bi.
