Nitrogen doped FeS2 nanoparticles for efficient and stable hydrogen evolution reaction

Jian Ye et al.

Summary: This study successfully synthesized nitrogen-doped FeS2 nanoparticles as electrocatalysts for the hydrogen evolution reaction. By modulating the band structure and electronic state of FeS2, the designed N-FeS2 electrocatalyst exhibits superior catalytic performance with low overpotential and excellent activity stability under alkaline conditions compared to pure FeS2. The research demonstrates the importance of regulating the electron state and band structure of an electrocatalyst for designing excellent catalysts for hydrogen evolution reaction and beyond.

Synergistically enhanced performance of transition-metal doped Ni2P for supercapacitance and overall water splitting

Gwaza Eric Ayom et al.

Summary: The study demonstrates the synthesis of novel dithiophosphonate complexes and the successful preparation of Ni2P, Co-Ni2P and Fe-Ni2P nanoparticles, with Co and Fe doping showing synergistic improvement in electrocatalytic performance for supercapacitance, hydrogen evolution and oxygen evolution reactions. Doping with Co improved charge storage capacity while Fe doping resulted in lower overpotential for both oxygen and hydrogen evolution reactions. All catalysts exhibited excellent stability in energy conversion technologies.
