Understanding of Correlation between Electronic Properties and Sulfur Tolerance of Pt-Based Catalysts for Hydrogen Oxidation

Summary: This study aimed to investigate the key factors for improving sulfur resistance and recovery capability of Pt-based electrocatalysts, revealing that PtCo/C electrocatalyst demonstrated better sulfur poisoning alleviation and release of active sites compared to Pt/C. It was found that tuning the d-band center of Pt is crucial for enhancing sulfur resistance and recovery capability of Pt-based electrocatalysts.

Summary: Forced chicory roots can be utilized in a cascaded manner by extracting sugars, hydrothermal carbonization, and anaerobic digestion, achieving a complete utilization of the biomass. This cascaded utilization can elongate the value chain of chicory and enhance the efficiency of biomass usage, with a carbon efficiency of 96%.
