Facile self-assembly of carbon-free vanadium sulfide nanosheet for stable and high-rate lithium-ion storage

Yajuan Zhang et al.

Summary: Metal sulfides are considered promising anode materials for lithium ion batteries due to their high theoretical capacity, but their limited cycle life and rate performance have hindered practical applications. A carbon-free vanadium sulfide (V3S4) nanosheet with a unique mesoporous nanostructure was synthesized, exhibiting outstanding electrochemical performance in terms of charge capacity, rate capability, and cycling ability, making it competitive with other metal sulfides-based anode materials. This work provides inspiration for the design of advanced nanostructured electrode materials for energy storage devices.

Design of Nb2O5@rGO composites to optimize the lithium-ion storage performance

Rong Kang et al.

Summary: In this study, pure Nb2O5 and Nb2O5@rGO composites were synthesized using the hydrothermal method, and their electrochemical performance as anodes for lithium-ion batteries was investigated. The results showed that Nb2O5@rGO composites exhibited higher specific capacity and better cycling stability compared to pure Nb2O5. Additionally, the composite with the highest amount of rGO showed the maximum specific capacity.
