Mass-based hybrid nanofluid model for entropy generation analysis of flow upon a convectively-warmed moving wedge

Hamza Berrehal et al.

Summary: This research numerically studies the flow of a steady incompressible laminar two-dimensional hybrid nanofluid upon a convectively-warmed moving wedge with radiative transition. The study investigates the effect of governing parameters on variables such as fluid velocity, temperature distribution, skin friction coefficient, Nusselt number, entropy generation, and Bejan number. The use of a mass-based method in combination with entropy generation analysis for hybrid nanofluid flow and heat transfer is a significant achievement of this research.

Thermal stability and bioconvection investigation for couple stress nanofluid due to a three-dimensional accelerated frame

Samaira Aziz et al.

Summary: This study investigates the enhanced thermal characteristics of couple stress nanofluids and establishes a model for nanofluid bioconvection through the combined effects of buoyancy, magnetic strength, motile microorganisms, and nanoparticles. The results show that the couple stress parameters cause periodic increases in velocity components and wall shear stresses, and there is a conflicting trend between the rate constant and the concentration distribution for the activation energy parameter.

Flow of aqueous Fe2O3-CuO hybrid nanofluid over a permeable stretching/shrinking wedge: A development on Falkner-Skan problem

Mohammad Izady et al.

Summary: This study investigates the two-dimensional boundary layer flow of a Fe2O3-CuO/water hybrid nanofluid over a porous stretching/shrinking wedge with radiation and MHD effects semi-analytically. Dual solutions exist for a certain parameter domain and the first solutions have thinner boundary layer thickness. The magnetic parameter and mass suction at the wedge's surface increase the local Nusselt number, while the second nanoparticle's mass enhancement amplifies the skin friction coefficient and local Nusselt number for the first solutions.

Non-Newtonian hybrid nanofluid flow over vertically upward/downward moving rotating disk in a Darcy-Forchheimer porous medium

R. Naveen Kumar et al.

Summary: This study explores the impact of activation energy on Casson fluid flow in porous media, as well as the application of graphene oxide and titanium dioxide nanoparticles in thermal properties. Through mathematical modeling and analysis of graphs, it was found that an increase in the Casson parameter decreases fluid velocity, and variations in velocity, thermal, and concentration gradients were examined in detail.

Unsteady hybrid nanofluid flow over a radially permeable shrinking/stretching surface

Umair Khan et al.

Summary: The time-dependent stagnation point flow and heat transfer of a water-based hybrid nanofluid from a radially permeable shrinking or stretching surface are investigated. Numerical results indicate the existence of dual solutions, with only one being stable, and the hybrid nanofluid enhances heat transfer rate compared to a regular fluid.

Analysis of single and multi-wall carbon nanotubes (SWCNT/MWCNT) in the flow of Maxwell nanofluid with the impact of magnetic dipole

Varun Kumar et al.

Summary: The research investigates the flow of Maxwell nanoliquid embedded with SWCNT/MWCNT over a stretching sheet, considering thermal radiation and magnetic dipole effects. The study reveals that fluid velocity decreases with an increase in ferromagnetic interaction parameter, while thermal distribution rapidly enhances with higher Biot number and thermal radiation parameter values. The rate of heat transfer increases with higher Biot number and thermal radiation parameter values, while surface drag force increases with higher solid volume fraction values but decreases with viscous dissipation parameter.
