Study on explosion suppression of coal dust with different particle size by shell powder and NaHCO3

Xiangrui Wei et al.

Summary: This study investigated the differences in suppression of different particle sizes of coal dust using inert and active explosion suppressants. The results showed that active explosion suppressants were more effective in suppressing fine coal dust, while inert suppressants were more advantageous in suppressing coarse coal dust. The study provides scientific theoretical guidance for targeted coal dust explosion suppression.

Numerical study of the effect of geometric parameters on the internal flow of a pressure nozzle for dustfall

Junpeng Wang et al.

Summary: Using CFD simulations, this study investigated the effect of main structural parameters on the internal flow of a pressure nozzle, finding that changes in convergent angle, outlet diameter, swirl angle, and flow area significantly impact velocity and swirl degree. Among these parameters, swirl angle and outlet diameter have the most significant influence on the velocity of the nozzle outlet.

Numerical simulation and experimental study of vortex blowing suction dust control in a coal yard with multiple dust production points

Deji Jing et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a new type of vortex blowing suction dust control technology to improve the dust removal efficiency for coal yards. The experimental comparison showed that the vortex blowing suction technique had a better dust removal performance, with dust removal efficiencies of 93.25% and 41.19% for the former and latter techniques, and dust escape rates of 6.31% and 46.60%, respectively.
