Lifetime Prediction of a SiC Power Module by Micron/Submicron Ag Sinter Joining Based on Fatigue, Creep and Thermal Properties from Room Temperature to High Temperature

Chuantong Chen et al.

Summary: This study focuses on the lifetime prediction of a SiC power module by Ag sinter joining based on mechanical properties and thermal properties evaluation of sintered Ag paste. The study shows that mechanical properties of sintered Ag largely depend on the test temperature, and the fatigue behavior is close to the Morrow equation. Additionally, finite element simulation reveals the crack occurrence and extension area of the sintered Ag layer under cyclic loading at different temperatures.

A Three-Dimensional Printable Liquid Metal-Like Ag Nanoparticle Ink for Making a Super-Stretchable and Highly Cyclic Durable Strain Sensor

Hai-Jun Huang et al.

Summary: This study fabricates a sandwich-structured strain sensor with extraordinarily large stretchability (800%) and self-healing property using liquid metal-like Ag NP ink via 3D printing. The sensor demonstrates excellent sensing performance, including good linearity in two strain ranges, showing potential application in monitoring human knuckle motion. The unique structure of the Ag NP ink, with Ag NPs coalescing together and forming continuous conductive networks through hydrogen bonds, contributes to the sensor's comprehensive performance.
