Vibrational and electronic structures of tin selenide nanowires confined inside carbon nanotubes

Eric Faulques et al.

Summary: In this study, the vibrational and electronic properties of tin selenide nanowires encapsulated in single walled carbon nanotubes were investigated using experimental Raman spectroscopy and density functional theory calculations. The results show that the different structures of the nanowires exhibit distinct Raman spectra features and electronic properties, which is consistent with the theoretical predictions. The interaction between the nanotubes and the encapsulated nanowires was observed.

Individual SWCNT Transistor with Photosensitive Planar Junction Induced by Two-Photon Oxidation

Aleksei V. Emelianov et al.

Summary: The fabrication of planar junctions in carbon nanomaterials using femtosecond laser processing technique leads to a significant enhancement in the photoresponse of optoelectronic devices based on single-walled carbon nanotubes. The induced metal/semiconductor planar junction shows a high broadband photoresponsivity, making it suitable for detecting extremely small light intensities with high spatial resolution.

Anisotropy of Anionic Conductivity in Single Crystals of CeF3 Superionic Conductor

N. Sorokin et al.

Summary: The anisotropy of anionic conductivity in CeF3 superionic conductor crystals with tysonite structure is studied, with conductivity measurements along crystallographic axes a and c showing higher conductivity along the c axis. The weak anisotropy is discussed in relation to the atomic structure of individual fluorides with tysonite structure.

La1-yBayF3-y Solid Solution Crystals as an Effective Solid Electrolyte: Growth and Properties

Irina I. Buchinskaya et al.

Summary: The study investigates the concentration dependence of electrical conductivity in La1-yBayF3-y single crystals, revealing a refined composition of the ionic conductivity maximum for solid electrolytes. The analysis of electrophysical data for tysonite-type solid electrolytes suggests a weak influence of ionic radii on the maximum conductivity composition.
