Review on effect of different type of dyes on advanced oxidation processes (AOPs) for textile color removal

Guntur Adisurya Ismail et al.

Summary: The textile industry, a vital sector in developing countries, faces increasing environmental concerns, particularly regarding the high color and COD concentration in its wastewater. Advanced oxidation processes (AOPs) are considered the best technology for color removal, but the understanding of the reaction mechanisms is still limited.

Highly efficient adsorption and mechanism of alkylphenols on magnetic reduced graphene oxide

Jing Li et al.

Summary: The study demonstrated that the optimized magnetic reduced graphene oxide (MrGO) has high adsorption capacity for alkylphenols, with a heterogeneous multi-layer physical adsorption process. The adsorption interactions between MrGO and alkylphenols were mainly pi-pi, hydrogen-bond, and hydrophobic interactions, with different affinities towards different targets. The stability and recyclability of MrGO make it a promising and cost-effective option for remediation.

Summary: This study investigated the effects of yttrium doping and strontium nonstoichiometry on the local environment of cations and vibrational properties of SrZrO3. The results showed that yttrium ions can be partitioned over both A- and B-sites in strontium-deficient zirconates with dopant concentrations more than 2%.

Bandgap Engineering in a Staggered-Type Oxide Perovskite Heterojunction for Efficient Visible Light-Driven Photocatalytic Dye Degradation

Smruti Purohit et al.

Summary: This study investigated the photocatalytic activity of a KxNa(1-x)NbO3-BaBiO3 heterojunction material for the degradation of Rhodamine 6G organic dye. The unsintered composite material was found to be the most efficient catalyst with 84% removal efficiency, attributed to reduced bandgap, increased surface area, and surface oxygen vacancy states. The formation of a heterojunction between two catalysts ensured effective charge carrier separation, ultimately enhancing the photocatalytic efficacy.

Infrared radiation and thermal properties of Al-doped SrZrO3 perovskites for potential infrared stealth coating materials in the high-temperature environment

Enbo Li et al.

Summary: The study investigated the infrared radiation performance and thermophysical properties of Al-doped SrZrO3 perovskite powder at high temperatures. By controlling the doping content, phase composition, and particle morphology, perovskite powder with low infrared emissivity and perovskite ceramic with ideal heat insulation performance were successfully prepared. The Al-doped SrZrO3 perovskite tablet exhibited weak radiation intensity at high temperatures due to its characteristics of low infrared emissivity and thermal conductivity.
