A comparative study of spinel ZnFe2O4 ferrites obtained via a hydrothermal and a ceramic route: Structural and magnetic properties

Xuesong Zhu et al.

Summary: ZnFe2O4 spinel specimens obtained via hydrothermal and ceramic methods were studied for their structural and magnetic properties. It was found that the specimens synthesized through the hydrothermal method exhibited better magnetism, which may be attributed to the different occupancy of Fe ions resulting from the loss of Zn during the hydrothermal process.

Investigating the structural, magnetic, magnetocaloric and critical behavior of Mg0.35Zn0.65Fe2O4 ferrite

Jingkui Zhao et al.

Summary: In this study, a Mg0.35Zn0.65Fe2O4 ferrite sample was successfully prepared and comprehensive studies on its structure, magnetism, magnetocaloric effect, and critical behavior were conducted. The sample exhibited ferromagnetic and paramagnetic phases at temperatures Tc = 295K and Tp = 330K, respectively. The sample showed good magnetic properties under an external magnetic field H = 50 kOe.

Assessment of the critical behavior in the multiferroic Bi0.8Ba0.1Er0.1Fe0.96Cr0.02Co0.02O3 material, multi-substitution effect on magnetic and Mossbauer properties

A. Benai et al.

Summary: This study focused on the magnetic properties, Mossbauer effect, and critical behavior of the compound Bi0.8Ba0.1Er0.1Fe0.96Cr0.02Co0.02O3 prepared by sol-gel method. The compound exhibited a ferromagnetic to paramagnetic phase transition around 574K, with a predominance of the ferromagnetic contribution. Mossbauer spectroscopy revealed two differently coordinated Fe3+ cations in the compound.
