UV-induced solid-state oligomerization of an amorphous bisanthracene in films was studied using UV-Vis even-order derivative spectra. The study revealed the involvement of both fast and slow photocycloaddition processes, which can be attributed to the difference in the level of π,π-interactions and the significant enhancement of the photo-reaction above the glass transition temperature.
UV-induced solid-state oligomerization of an amorphous bisanthracene in films was determined by UV-Vis even-order derivative spectra to reveal the involvement of fast and slow photocycloaddition processes due to the difference in the level of pi,pi-interactions and the marked enhancement of the photo-reaction above glass transition temperature.
