Early CT in dogs following traumatic brain injury has limited value in predicting short-term prognosis

Summary: While traumatic brain injury is associated with a high risk of mortality in veterinary patients, early CT findings were found to not be significantly associated with short-term prognosis in dogs with TBI. The study suggests that CT imaging features may not be reliable prognostic indicators in canine TBI patients, but CT remains a valuable tool for detecting structural abnormalities following TBI in dogs.
