In What Ways Does Health Related Stigma Affect Sustainable Employment and Well-Being at Work? A Systematic Review

I. E. van Beukering et al.

Summary: Studies have shown that health related stigma can be a barrier to employment for people with disabilities, with factors such as employer attitudes and behavior, anticipated stigma, and self-stigma playing a significant role. More research is needed on the influence of co-workers, health care professionals, reintegration professionals, customers, and family and friends in contributing to this barrier.
