The Predictive Value of Lp(a) for Adverse Cardiovascular Event in ACS Patients With an Achieved LDL-C Target at Follow Up After PCI

Summary: The study found that for myocardial infarction patients with LDL-C <= 1.8mmol/L, higher levels of Lp(a) were associated with increased rates of major adverse cardiovascular events and recurrent myocardial infarction at 1-month follow-up. In relatively low-risk ACS patients who underwent PCI, Lp(a) remained independently related to adverse prognosis even with LDL-C <= 1.8mmol/L at 1-month follow-up.
