A Polydopamine-Coated Gold Nanoparticles Quenching Quantum Dots-Based Dual-Readout Lateral Flow Immunoassay for Sensitive Detection of Carbendazim in Agriproducts

Xinxin Mao et al.

Summary: In this study, a dual-readout lateral flow immunoassay (LFIA) using polydopamine-coated gold nanoparticles as a probe was developed for the detection of carbendazim. The LFIA incorporated a fluorometric signal and a colorimetric signal for detection, with a higher sensitivity in the fluorometric mode. The results showed negligible cross reactivity and good reliability compared to liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) testing.
