Progress and Perspectives on Covalent-organic Frameworks (COFs) and Composites for Various Energy Applications

Ravinder Kumar et al.

Summary: Covalent-organic frameworks (COFs) as a new member of the crystalline porous materials family have emerged as important materials for energy storage/conversion/generation devices, thanks to their high surface areas, ordered micro/mesopores, designable structures, and ability to precisely control electro-active groups in their pores which broaden their application window. They have been found suitable for a range of challenging electrochemical applications due to their low weight density, long range crystallinity, reticular nature, and tunable synthesis approach towards two and three dimensional (2D and 3D) networks.

Graphene Oxide and Reduced Graphene Oxide Nanoflakes Coated with Glycol Chitosan, Propylene Glycol Alginate, and Polydopamine: Characterization and Cytotoxicity in Human Chondrocytes

Lorenzo Vannozzi et al.

Summary: This study investigated the interaction between GO and rGO with different polymeric dispersants and their effects on human chondrocytes. The results showed that the polymeric dispersants improved the dispersibility of these nanomaterials in aqueous solutions, with PGA contributing to a decrease in cytotoxicity induced by the materials on human chondrocytes.
