Management of banana crop waste biomass using vermicomposting technology

Summary: This study demonstrated the beneficial effects of vermicomposting on banana crop waste biomass, including increased nutrient content and decreased heavy metal content. The optimal ratio for earthworm growth and reproduction was found to be 20-40% banana leaf waste biomass. Vermicomposting can be considered as an effective method for banana waste management.
