In this study, we investigate the canonical scalar field inflation within the framework of the power law f(T) gravity model. Three different potential models (Valley hybrid inflation potential, exponential potential, and Woods-Saxon potential) are assumed and analyzed. Our results show that the computed observable quantities are consistent with the Planck 2018 results.
We investigate the canonical scalar field inflation under the realm of power law f(T) gravity model by assuming Valley hybrid inflation potential (V(phi) = M-4[1 + (phi/mu)(p)]), exponential potential (V(phi) = V(o)e(-phi/phi o)) and Woods-Saxon potential V (phi) = V-o/1+beta e(-bk phi). We explore slow roll parameters (epsilon(1), epsilon(2)), number of e-folds (N), scalar spectral index (n(s)), scalar to tensor ratio (r) and running of the scalar spectral index (alpha). We find that the results evaluated for these observable are consistent with the Planck 2018 results.
