Stability, well-posedness and regularity of the homogeneous Landau equation for hard potentials

Nicolas Fournier et al.

Summary: The study establishes the well-posedness and quantitative stability of the spatially homogeneous Landau equation for hard potentials, extending previous regularity results and proving that solutions to the Landau equation immediately admit analytic densities with finite entropy. Additionally, the Landau equation is shown to instantaneously create Gaussian moments, with weak solutions existing under the assumption of finite initial energy.

On Exponential Moments of the Homogeneous Boltzmann Equation for Hard Potentials Without Cutoff

Nicolas Fournier

Summary: The spatially homogeneous Boltzmann equation for hard potentials without cutoff is considered. It is proven that an exponential moment of a specific order is immediately created, which is stronger than the case with cutoff. Additionally, it is shown that exponential moments within a certain range can be propagated.
